IH Collectors Dream! This Vehicle was originally purchased by an IH Service Tech from the Springfield Ohio IH Truck Branch and was passed to a (owners son) 2nd generation IH Service Tech. Many many upgrades over the years invluding v8 345 engine, 5 speed overdrive transmission, modern 1980 Scout headlights, air ride semi Trucker drivers seat, Rear storage area is acually a front section from another METRO! etc etc. , Camper has fridge, toilet, shower, rear has table that turns into master bed, other bunks also, roll out awning. Vehicle has been parked and not used used for many years, so is need of TLC and some restoration. It does run.........

1976 SCOUT II XLC:
Originally a California Scout, 76,000 miles, black and red XLC (Extra Load Capacity), 4 X 4. Very rare model. This vehicle has won second place in its class two years in a row at the International Harvester Scout and Light Truck Nationals held annually in Springfield, Ohio.
PRISTINE CONDITION!
Engine: 345 cubic inch, 4 barrel carburetor. Excellent power. Drive anywhere!

This is an original SSII, But NOT a Midas.
The Specs; 304 v8 Automatic, Midas Stripes, P/S, P/B, Dana 44 axles with 3:54 gears, Dane 20 Transsfer case, Good offroad type 12:50X33" tires on 10 inch wheels, Spring over axle Lift, Steering stabilizer shock. Vehicle is solid with some rust on the cab mounts etc. Soft top and doors in decent shape. No radio. Bucket seats have slip covers.
